It's the 8th month of the year.
- Sunflowers are in full bloom, everywhere, especially in my front flower garden.
- The weather is beautiful!!!
- August nights are nice and cool.
- Corn stands are up around the neighborhood stocked with only the best straight from the farm.
- Football practice is in full swing (as I've mentioned before how no other sport out there requires more practice than football).
- August is the last full month of summer.
- School starts on August 19 for GSD -- early start means early out.
- Recent graduates are headed on missions or to some kind of post-secondary experience.
